Santa Marta

In the colonial era, the Customs House on Santa Marta bay used to control commercial activity at the port. This heritage construction is being restored by the Banco de la República to be home to the Tairona Gold Museum. Meanwhile, in the Library of the Banco de la República, next door, a temporary exhibition offers visitors a glimpse of the goldwork and culture of the ancient inhabitants of the Sierra Nevada.
